MacUpdate Downtime…we’re on it!

macupdate-promo-spring-bundle-a-great-bundle-at-a-great-price

This morning, we were very excited to share with the world that we’d joined our friends at RipIt App, along with 9 other top-notch software packages, as part of the MacUpdate Spring Bundle. This bundle contains over $500 in software for less than $50!

Unfortunately, despite our careful planning…the popularity of the bundle (nearly 4000 sold at the time of this post) has ground our licensing server to a halt!

We’re working REALLY hard to get things back up and running, and we assure you that if you’ve paid for the bundle, you WILL receive a download link for Multiplex in short order. In the mean time, we appreciate your patience, support, and most of all, your purchase of the MacUpdate 2009 Spring Bundle!

Thanks for the Great application, This is the second Bundle I have purchased through MacUpdate The First in December of 2008 and now the May 2009 (Spring) Release.

I am ashamed to say, I was unaware of your product, now I am glad to have been introduced to a intuitive and well thought out application that will get allot of use.

I am sure there are allot of Mac users that have the same thought’s as mine.

    Good Luck & Great Success.

I understand your situation, and if I wasn’t really looking forward to using Multiplex I wouldn’t be bugging you, but is there any update? Should I be concerned that I still haven’t received my download link, or are you still working on it?

It appears that you’re still using the demo included in the large bundle download. We don’t use keys, instead we license each download to the user. In your receipt, or in your MacUpdate “MyPurchases” section, you should see a download link for Multiplex. If you download from that link and simply replace the copy in your Applications folder, you will be properly licensed without losing any information or preferences.

If, for some reason, you DON’T have that link, let us know and provide your TransactionID, name, and email and I’ll re-send the link.

Thanks, and we hope you enjoy Multiplex!

Unfortunately, Kevin, Mutliplex utilizes a few very powerful, but OS-X only features. The use of CoreAnimation for our stadium display, and Spotlight for finding and keeping track of movies, will make it prohibitively difficult for a windows version at this time.
